These bars have an application of antique patina and an anti-polish finish that provides an old-world appearance to the silver bars. Enhancing that visual effect is the fact that all of the bars are purposely hand-struck off-center to ensure that no two bars purchased look exactly the same. Further, the shape of the silver bars is different from one to the next, giving them a visual appearance of stone relics chipped right off the side of an Egyptian tomb. On the face of these 1 oz Egyptian Relic Silver Bars you will find the images of the god Anubis. In Ancient Egypt, Anubis was a god associated with mummification and the afterlife. Anubis was typically depicted as a canine, or at least depicted as a man with a canines head. Originally identified as a golden jackal, recent genetic testing has shown the animal the Egyptians believed to be a golden jackal was actually the African golden wolf.
